报告题目:Full waveform inversion and seismic array imaging based on 2D/3D SEM-FK hybrid method

报告摘要:

Full waveform inversion is the last course of data analysis in seismology. This powerful and promising technique has been widely explored during the last decade. However, the application of full waveform inversion into real data is computationally expensive. To make full waveform inversion feasible, in this talk I will present the SEM-FK hybrid method for the numerical modelling of teleseismic incidence with local heterogeneities. Synthetic tests for proof of concept will be discussed. The recent vast deployment of linear seismic arrays all around the world, especially in China, provides a good opportunity to conduct full waveform inversion investigations with the SEM-FK hybrid method. Vice versa, the SEM-FK hybrid method will be the necessary tool for imaging the detailed subsurface structures beneath the newly deployed seismic arrays.   

 

报告人简介:

童平,男,新加坡南洋理工大学助理教授。2007年北京师范大学理学学士,2012年清华大学理学博士,2012-2016年曾先后在加拿大多伦多大学、美国斯坦福大学从事博士后研究。他在包括GRLGJIBSSA等在内的高级别SCI期刊上发表学术论文20余篇,研究领域具体涵盖地震波数值模拟、地震层析成像、地球内部结构、微地震监测、地震信号分析等方向。
